It is the most famous beach in Irish fiction. James Joyce based two episodes of his novel 'Ulysses' here. The area features tunnels that run from the old monastery in the village, which is now houses, straight to the strand. They were later used for smuggling, but have been sealed up for a long time now.
I was walking my dog one night, when I felt compelled to stop and I immediately took three pictures. I can’t even really say why I took photos of the path... It’s a route I take often. It’s beautiful in the day time, but at night, there is nothing to see. When I got home however, I saw this in the image.
To me it looks like a cloaked lady. What are your thoughts?
